Beginner Strategies for Early Success
Start with the Colour You Can Complete
Look for a colour that is already close to being sorted. If a tube has mostly one colour, try to complete it first. This frees up space and simplifies the puzzle.
- Identify tubes with a single colour or a large amount of one colour.
- Use empty tubes to temporarily hold other colours while you work.
- Completing one colour reduces the number of variables.
Use Empty Tubes Wisely
Empty tubes are your most valuable resource. They allow you to move colours out of the way temporarily. Try to keep at least one empty tube available for most of the puzzle.
Empty tubes act as temporary storage. Avoid filling all empty tubes unless necessary, and plan ahead before using an empty tube.
Think Before You Pour
Before making a move, consider the consequences. Ask yourself: will this pour block another colour? Can I undo it if needed? Taking a moment to plan can prevent mistakes.
- Check if the receiving tube has enough space.
- Consider if the move will help you sort a colour or just move the problem.
- Use the undo button if you make a mistake.
